Huck is a caveman skillswise, but level of opposition isn't a fair knock on him at all IMO. When he fought easier defenses, it was also when he was fighting very frequently.

Agreed on just about all of it. I give Brook credit for taking a shot at GGG, and I rate the guy. But I've never been a believer in Kahn. And I've never been real high on Cotto either. Good fighter for sure...but not a great fighter in my opinion.

Golovkin looks like the goods, but I'm really hoping to see him in there with both Jacobs and canelo this year. Until he gets a few top notch scalps on his resume and looks sharp in doing so...my opinion is the jury is still out as far where he'll stand historically. That said, he really is a pleasure to watch.

Canelo's done well for himself and I personally think he's a good young fighter with some decent wins on his resume but I certainly don't have him in my top 10 p4p yet.

A buddy of mine who's opinion I genuinely respect has really been getting behind Garcia and I just don't get it outside of the fact that we live just outside Philly and maybe it's the allure of a successful hometown fighter.

Thurman didn't really impress me at all in the Porter fight. I didn't really expect him to, but I was certainly open to him doing so.

I'd even contend that Lomachenko is a little overrated at this stage. I heard these HBO guys comparing him to Willie Pep and sweet pea Whitaker the other night. Listen, I dig the guy and I'm as excited about what I'm seeing from him as anyone. But let's leave the comparisons with those two legendary all time greats alone for now.

Another couple of dudes it seemed like the networks were shoving down our throats whom I've never been a true believer in were Berto and Broner. But I suppose those ships have sailed at this point.

 

Lara - seems that your complaint is more that he's boring. Which he is. He's not p4p but is still world-level.

Rigondeaux - another boring fighter, absolutely. But he is actually p4p despite having been down.

Thurman - imo he either beat Porter or drew. Porter is legit, so Thurman is too.

Postol - yes, fair enough. Troyanovsky got debunked though lol.

Degale - weak division, yes, but you could say similar things about anyone else in the division. He got a fair decision against Dirrell imo, and that's as good a win as anyone else there has. Jack has been KO'ed early and brutally. Groves, well we've all seen what happened to him. Smith is unproven, and none of his brothers are that good. Zurdo Ramirez looks good, but has only beaten a past-it Abraham who hardly threw a punch.

 

Broner Joshua Garcia. A like Joshua. And Garcia but both have fought bums

For the record BOTH Manny Pacquaio & Antonio Margarito are FIGHTERS!! I admire & respect both men. On the other hand I have zero respect for cowards & cheats like Mayweather, Mosely,Canelo or Cotto. Just my own personal opinion for what its worth
