Ortiz has a contingent of people whining about him for being old and losing to Wilder, but was an excellent contender. Like I said, awful pick.

Who did he beat except Bryant Jennings in the 10s?

The only other contender you picked who actually beat a top 5 contender is Zhang, who is also a poor pick. It’s pretty clear that you have it out for Wilder. You need to have a word with yourself.

Can you answer the question? Who did Ortiz beat except for Jennings?

Zhang beat Joyce and shot Wilder, that's it. On this forum, based on that, people favored him in a lot of H2H match ups, hence to me he became overrated.

Wilder is a low hanging fruit because of his shyte resume and delusions, so me pointing it out is just stating facts.

Ask yourself how they performed at top level, contender level, top 20 level, and top 30 level. Everything will make more sense to you.

Again, who did Ortiz beat except for Jennings?

Ortiz is 0-2 on the Top 5 level and 1-3 on the Top 10 level :p

Zhang is 0-1 at the Top 5 level and 3-2 on the Top 10 level.

Top level: 0-2 against Wilder but came close to winning each fight and was pretty old, especially for the rematch.
Top 5: Wiped the floor with Jennings
Top 20ish: Washed Thompson and Scott like nobody else. Easy time with Hamer.
Ancient Relic of Ortiz: Beat Martin senseless and almost beat Ruiz (would’ve won if it were 15).
His level as a fighter was better than his resume.

Zhang: Almost sparked out Parker and beat the crap out of Hrgovic in a narrow loss.

You could have said someone like Elmer Ray, Lee Q. Murray, or Turkey Thompson. You know...."If only the black fighters got a chance against Louis..."

Yeah you guys are rather effective at dragging others down to your level, I'll admit that much.

I mean if Ruiz is overrated what does that make Joshua?

Bruno was regarded a s a lovable loser by the British public, and when he finally beat McCall, everybody was very pleasantly surprised.

As one of those British people, it is absolutely unthathomable to me, that some boxing fans see him as a head to head monster today.

I picked him for the 2020’s - his two fight series with Joshua occurred in 2019.
So far and we’re nearly in 2025 - he’s fought a total of 3x against absolutely washed up versions of Arreola, Ortiz and Big Baby Miller(Draw) and he’s struggling to win these fights yet still often gets rated in the top 10 by some ppl.
So for this decade he makes my overrated, admittedly with the Decade not even half over it was the hardest one to choose.

It’s not exactly new but over the last decade or two across all things you’re either the best over or you’re crap. There seems to be no in between any more.
