But Khan even if he destroys Alexander, he won't have anymore than 10% or so of people thinking he's gonna win against Mayweather, and will very unlikely reach pound for pound lists.

Mosley had one good fight against a guy that suddenly developed a huge asterix next to his biggest wins and he shot up from around 20 pound for pound, to number 3.

If you read what I put, I said the win itself wasn't overrated but perhaps we was overrating both guys going in, in hindsight.

Even though he's had some decent wins Donaire hasn't looked as sensational in any of his fights since, Montiel has fallen a long way, and Donaire was thought to be the pound for pound heir apparent.

That's one that needed more hindsight though than the others ones mentioned which had me wondering why they was treated as much of a big deal back then.

Fury-Chisora. He beats up a clearly shot Chisora who quit after round 1 and some people are claiming this guy is a master boxer.

This. Guy was on roids and had someone on his team CLEARLY ****in with scorecards, arguably loses the fight anyway (I thought he lost a close fight) and has done nothing really note worthy since.... Fun guy to watch fight but this "win" did things for his career it really should not have

Algieri over Ruslan would have to be on the list, right? Ruslan is no world beater, good tough fighter but he's no monster

If that's the case then please don't credit Garcia again for beating Khan. :deal

    Froch vs Groves.

A slow, mechanical plodder (Froch) KOs an absurdly hyped, glass jawed Brit (I know- I am being redundant here) in Groves and suddenly he's P4P material. :rofl

Iron chinned Brit (I know- I am being redudant here) Froch was in many pound for pound lists long before beating Groves. And rightfully so.
