Most overrated lineal champion @ 147 all time

The point that people are making that Baldomir was the linearal champion is basically a moot one to me, at Floyds stage in his career, if he truly wants ATG status should have been to be fighting the biggest challenges rather than fawning after irrelevant trinkets. Instead he fights Judah who has just done the chicken dance against one of the worst titlists ever and then he fights the very same terrible boxer who just beat the man he has already beaten. I give him lots of credit for Hatton in terms of his overall career but not in terms of 147. Hatton was not and will not be a natural 147er, he is small enough at 140 already - his style dicates that he needs a strength advantage and he will very rarely get that at 147. Floyds career: not bad at all! Floyds 147 career: not even #1 today!

forrest maybe a shell of his former self but baldomir hurt him in the 9th round and forrest had to low blow him just to stop that guy coming.dont tell me that baldomir has no chance against cotto. a good pressure fighter with a good chin and heart has a chance to beat him.also, as we all know cotto's chin aint steel.

Baldomir was never given a high rating ... he was just there for the taking ... his reign was very short and it was only a matter of him getting a decent payday ...

It was like a Cinderella Man story. Before beating Judah he was ranked #10 in The Ring ratings. His resume is decent, with wins over Clottey (DQ), Judah (Undisputed Champ) and Gatti (who was ranked in the Top10 at 147 at that time). Also a draw against Jose Luis Cruz.

Baldomir is another case of a Top30 guy that was lucky and became Champ. There are many cases like this in boxing history.

Well, actually Mayweather is a multi-division fighter, not just a welterweight.
