Most overrated lineal champion @ 147 all time

Yeah, yeah - prove it. People speculate on this all the time - but the reason that fight didn't happen was because of finances and boxing politics.

But I missed the **** about 147. Oops! One thing we can agree on, I think, is that Lewis is not 147!!!

 

Bowe tossed that belt in the trash on national Television, that tells you everything you need to know. He tried to disguise it as some as something else other then being fear, but come on if he thought he could beat LL he would of jumped at the chance to avenge the loss.

Yeah I didnt even realise about the 147 myself , dont feel bad.

 

Throwing the belt in the trash was a publicity stunt that backfired. Personally I wish ALL fighters would throw their bogus belts in the trash - it would help de-legitimize all these silly titles.

Fighters ditch extra belts all the time to avoid mandatories. What they wanted to do was take an easy defense, fight Mercer, rematch Holyfield and THEN fight Lewis for buko-bucks. Like many things in boxing, it didn't go as planned.

I cant argue hes scared anymore if thats the case. Still since Bowe never avenged his loss even though he had the opportunity, the LL amatuer win still holds some weight, too me at least, also considering LL did want to fight him again.
