in general, locche or firpo. on this forum, corro has been mentioned more than once, and there's no good reason for that.
Firpo was just about entirely a hype job. More recently Miranda was hyped quite a bit before his bubble burst.
I would go with someone who was in no way top 10 material but somehow (corruption) made it into the WBA top 10 during the '80's. There are quite a few guys to choose from. If I must pick one, I'll go with Nelson Bolonos. He had a good record but had never fought outside of South America. Vinny Paz cherry picked him. Another guy was Pablo Baez, who got a shot at Thomas Hearns's WBA Welterweight title. Baez had a very mediocre record when he got the shot.
Martinez was. I'm not sure if he still is. His technical limitations put him more in the Jermain Taylor tier than the Hopkins tier, in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
