Mike Tyson is often regarded as a top 10 best heavyweight of all time, but the problem is, there are way more than 10 heavyweights better than him. I think he barely makes it to the top 50.

As for an underrated power puncher... it is hard because a KO artist is often overrated instead of the other way around until he starts losing. Right now it seems that Kovalev is the most underrated, you can't really be as underrated as an opening 1-8 odds against a smaller opponent.

George Foreman when he was fighting in his late day was perhaps regarded as too old for winning, I don't know the odds bookmakers gave him but I would not be surprised he was underdog in some fights.

I think it is possible to find 50 heavyweights that could beat Tyson. I think all the competent super heavyweights 6'5+ must be in the list. I think even a smaller defensive Chris Byrd had what it takes to beat Tyson. Lewis, Holyfield, both Klitschkos, Tua and many great contenders. Just in the last 20 years there are many that I regard better than Tyson.

I find Kovalev's power a bit overrated tho, along with Beterbiev. I'm certainly believe I'm not bias towards the old dudes cuz Satterfield, Foster, Marshall, Spinks, Moore and Murphy definitely hit harder, they just knocked out much more quality men.

Wilfredo Gomez's power is also a bit overrated. He relies on accumulation.

If underrated, it should be Juan LaPorte, his chin has gotten so much credit but not his power. He's the only man to knock Lockridge out. Something Gomez and Chavez couldn't do it

Another two underrated punchers imo are Harold Johnson and Pernell Whitaker. I feel like they could've been devastating punchers if they chose to

One last guy overrated power is Roy Jones. He's just super fast and excellent at timing his punches

Edit: I forgot Rubin Carter, his also overrated
