For me without doubt was Mathew Hilton mauling WIlfred Benitez at JMW after he lost to Mustafa Hamsho at middle weight. From the camera angle I had on TV, a left hook flush to the side of the head and I'll never forget the way Benitez eyes snapped shut as he was against the ropes. After that Benitez looked great fighting a guy named Kevin Moley but then he was in sad shape in his 40's, in the care of his mother.

As a side note, the MW winner Hamsho got to fight Marvin Hagler for the second time. I remember Hagler was pissed that this cost him a lucrative fight against Benitez, and vowed take it out on Hamsho. LOL

The recent one between Jai Opetaia and David Nyika. Ref should have stopped it sooner. Brutal.

Shame, Benitez would've been properly recognized as the fifth king had he did fought Haggler. Win, lose, or draw

Cooney winging those murderous hooks on a semi crouched, defenceless Norton. It appeared that a fatality or at least serious permanent injury might’ve been on the cards.

In general I find absolute short circuit, out cold KOs (often by single shots) disturbing, like those suffered by John Tate S and later by Roy Jones Jr.

Hearns KO of Duran was gob smacking but even then, there was Roberto, discombobulated yes BUT not completely out and still trying to peel himself off the canvas.

If Duran had stayed lying flat on his face, motionless, it would’ve looked X 10 times worse imo.

That Weaver ko of Tate ruined the guy. He was out for a long time & had already suffered a few bad ko losses as an amatuer. It's like there is a column for how many bad ko losses a guy can have in his career & that ko put Big John in that career over category.

Whilst the ref had a little sit down and a cup of tea watching it.

He was probably watching it and thinking, "Where's the ref?!? He's gotta stop this!"
