Had Taylor v Postal gone to the cards that would of been one of the worst I’ve seen,Postal hardly won a round on the cards and yet was clearly winning half way through the fight.

Some of the U.K. decisions make Vegas look good

Lol I know shall have to see it now the dust has settled.my memories of Oscar who I came too late was that he was the most unluckiest fighter alive and yet he always took it with good grace(don’t ask me how)maybe I was bias but I had him winning Mosely and against Floyd had it a draw at worst.his record should of been better were it not for the judges.

Try to watch it, I enjoyed every second of it. I don't want to overhype it but it was a very intense and very interesting.

I believe it was round 10 where GGG caught Canelo with a short 1-2 that buzzed him for a couple of seconds, It was a good moment for GGG. On the flip side Canelo was clearly hurting GGG to the body throughout the fight and in an occasion it was rather evident when he landed a liver shot that made Golovkin stagger.

Like I said very entertaining fight fought at a high level. Both match up great.

yep made for each other and as I always say with Canelo no fouling, clinching ect infact refs have an easy job with those two.
Don’t think anyone expected Canelo to stand and trade though and I’ve known for a while Golovkin doesn’t like getting hit on the body.

Oscar is a throw back type of fighter. Fight the best, prove you're the best, keep fighting the best win or lose. That's how he matches his fighters too. He never seemed to think he was bigger than boxing, that's probably why he was gracious in defeat.

I thought he bested Mayweather too, but again, it was a close fight and the future of boxing got the benefit of the doubt. I can accept anyone who says Mayweather won, but anyone who says Mayweather schooled him, I can't take those comments serious.

Well, I am a judge and I think Golovkin deserved two decisions over Alvarez. Even though it doesn't matter... Golovkin did outland Alvarez in almost everyone of the 24 rounds they fought against each other.

I agree that the guy who lands the most punches doesn't automatically deserve to win. In most fights that go the distance the guy who lands the most punches does typically win though... even though punch stats are not looked at by the judges.

One example of a fighter losing a decision when he outlanded his opponent is Toney vs. McCallum II. McCallum outlanded Toney by 100 punches but lost a majority decision. Two judges scored it 117-110 and the other had it 114-114. McCallum lost a point for holding and hitting, but I don't think he deserved that.

A lot of people thought McCallum deserved the decision.

Another good example of a fighter losing a fight when he outlanded his opponent is in the first Mayweather vs. Castillo fight. Castillo outlanded Mayweather by 46 punches but lost by decision. A lot, and I do mean a lot of people feel that Castillo clearly won this fight. Harold Lederman had Castillo up by 4 points.

Mayweather landed 9 more punches than Maidana in their first fight but in 6 out of 12 rounds Maidana outlanded Mayweather. Mayweather also outlanded Maidana in 6 of the 12 rounds. Mayweather won but some people did feel that Maidana deserved a win or at least a draw.

Ggg landed more power shots to the head in fight 2, canelos body shots were the deciding factor in his higher total number of power shots. The point of body shots is to slow down a fighter over the coarse of a fight or get the fighter to lower his hands to increase punch production upstairs.

Did canelos body work slow ggg down in the championship rounds? Who slowed down in those rounds again?
Did canelos body work cause an increase in his head shot production on ggg? The answer is no. Not in jabs & not in power shots to the head.

This renders his body shots useless. Who was hurt in this fight?? We all know who was hurt and who wasnt.

Ggg was the champ & landed more power shots to the head, more jabs to the head and hurt canelo & was never hurt himself, this in my book is a clear win.

On a side note, ggg has a ramrod jam and not a pitty patt ***** jab, some of his jabs have actually more force than alot of fighters so called power punches, canelos head snapping back on numerous occasions is evidence of this.

    Take those canelo goggles off.

So you also know about illegal methods such as turning your back on a opponent & low blows & hitting on the break ...it applies to all?

So you're pretty much making your own boxing rules. Lol.

Body shots are more risky to throw and harder to land. Either way, a power punch is a power punch, whether tonthe body or to the head .

You can't make your own rules up.

    Clean hard punches
    Defense
    Ring Generalship
    Effective aggression

A power punch is not just a power punch, it comes under the banner effective aggression, some punches are CLEARLY more effective than others, neutral judges understand this. There are no set boxing rules, if that was the case there would be no controversy and judges would be reprimanded for going against those rules.

Ain't making stuff up, you just don't understand the above terminology that your holding onto so tightly and what it actually means. if you can't see that your above criteria matches ggg in most facets of that fight then nobody can help you my friend. Hardest cleanest head shots were from ggg, the general was ggg, has anyone ever heard of a general who doesn't land the majority of the blows And hurt his opponent the most?

Ggg defence was sublime in the fight hence he was NEVER HURT, but someone else was. I guess gggs aggression was more effective seeing as though he hurt canelo, almost doubled him in jabs, outlanded him in power shots to the head. Canelos body shots look good but barely had any effect on him so canelos aggression to the body was NOT EFFECTIVE AGGRESSION, ggg would of slowed down later in the fight if they were effective & canelo would of outscored ggg in shots landed had those body shots been effective and done what a body shot is supposed to do, slow a fighter down gradually or get him to lower the guard to land more upstairs, canelos body work did neither hence is was not effective aggression.

Boxing scoring is subjective unfortunately which means any idiot can score a fight for the loser without punishment, and there will always be an excuse for the judge in question.

Judging needs a complete over haul but it will never happen. Money talks. You got ya mind made up champ I'm done trying to convince you.

The biggest robberies of modern times was Canelo vs GGG 2x, and Kovalev vs Ward 1.
