Arturo Gatti never won a title? Wasn't a big follower of his but that does surprise me.

Wasn't Art Aragon a film star?

To be fair to Herol Graham, he was involved in one of the most spectacular knockout fights in history against Julian Jackson.

Ace Hudkins, a terrific drawing card in Los Angeles during the 1920s and 1930s, never won a world title.

Bep van Klaveren comes to mind ! won a gold medal in 1928 , was really popular here in Holland.
Than moved to the States and did very well.
He also boxed in Australia for 30-000 people or more
