Keep following the rules buddy, and I'll keep:campeon:. As long as we all know our place in the world, everything's alright. We can't all be winners.

Funny thing is, two of these guys could end up facing each other in a title fight this year (if Vargas beats Thurman for the belt and then Porter in his first mandatory defense while García beats Ríos in next month's eliminator to determine the next in line - though I'm personally hoping Thurman pulls through his gauntlet and remains champ when the dust settles...)

So what's the preferential treatment hierarchy? Say we have a close match fought between García and Vargas...to whom do the judges give a little "boost"?

Canelo merrily trots to the ring with Oscar as they are reading the score cards and hands them the paid for score cards instead and gets the "W" and belt even though he didn't fight.

I haven't seen nearly as many Vargas fights as Garcia fights, but I've seen him get two crooked wins. On the other hand I've seen Garcia get handed 4-5 gifts where I clearly saw him lose and refuse to believe he won. Kid makes me sick.

Whoops, sorry, make it two robberies for Canelo, per my cards. (I had Trout beating Álvarez 114-113 ...although Lara was the more egregious one. Álvarez vs. Trout could have gone either way...I just happened to score it on the night for the latter, by a hair)

I seem to remember you posted more than once that you weren't exactly a "winner" in life, no?
(ftr I am a bit of a F up myself, maybe I'm not breaking enough rules?)

I actually enjoy and agree with a lot of your posts, you would be a cracking older brother for a young kid. I just think you look at things in a simplistic black or white way and show a double standards depending on if it is a fighter you support (ok an american) or not.

I don't know how long you've been following boxing, but in close rounds the A side ususlly gets the benefit of the doubt. That's prize fighting for you. You have to beat the A side, and neither Trout or Lara did that.

You would be lying if you said most of those rounds weren't close. If GBP was truly paying off judges Canelo would be undefeated and would have a W over Golovkin easily. There have been real robberies against a much more popular fighter than GGG.

Truth is that Canelo has a lot of haters, similar to Mayweather, ODLH, Ali did in their prime.

No contest, El Pollo by far! You have to knock him out to get a draw! Oscar owns the judges and everyone knows it......................SOB is another who can't lose a decision, he can cheat, break the rules and nothing will ever be done to him for it.............

when golovkin said "good luck" to canelo before their fight, i'm sure canelo had no idea how his response would become so profound : "luck is for the mediocre"

Thing is though, Canelo isn't mediocre- he's really good. He just ought to have about four losses and three draws.

Did you happen to notice that Dave Moretti's name showed up six times in that post?

Yep. Worst offenders (in terms of severity and recidivism given due weight) are him, Adelaide Byrd, Max DeLuca, Kevin Morgan and Glenn Trowbridge. The rest of the judges named & shamed only had a couple of bad cards, or had several that were slightly off but not outrageously.
