Most probably Golovkin would beat the best middleweights of the 90's

Having ODST stipulated in contract, Golovkin would do to them what he did to Geale and Murray. :nod

But after Golovkin knocks out Pavlik, Pavlik would just be considered another BUM. :thumbsup

Some of those fighters you mentioned are great, great fighters when they campaigned at MW.

James Toney has the absolute perfect style to beat GGG. He was such an animal on the inside, he could just stay right in the pocket, deflect GGG's shots, and nail him with perfect countershots. he also has a helluva chin, so I doubt Gennady could actually knock him down let alone out.

I don't favor anyone against Jones at 160. He was a freak athlete with superlative reflexes.

Julian Jackson would've been a great fight. He's one of the few guys I can say is probably more powerful than Gennady. Jackson is arguably one of the strongest punchers P4P in the history of the sport, so it'd be interesting to see how Gennady's chin would've held up once he felt Julian's power.

The thing is, all those guys you mentioned had great careers (short of maybe G-Mac whose career was tragically cut short -but he still beat the better opposition compared to GGG.) Those guys had such established resumes professionally by their late 20's, in comparison to GGG whose almost in his mid 30's and hasn't really fought anyone of note yet.

Big GGG fan, but B-Hop schools him. Jones Jr. and Toney beat him as well.

Styles make fights, and I think prime James Toney makes him look like a fool. Prime Hopkins schools him as well. He has a punchers chance against Jones Jr, but Roy is way more skilled, way faster, harder to hit, just as powerful.. I strongly favor Roy here.

Roy actually has more proven power than GGG... Wake me up when GGG moves up and hurts a ranked HW.. (in a real fight, no sparring stories)

Even at Middleweight Roy is not a bigger puncher. Golovkin has more punching power, and it is obvious GGG can roid up and move to Heavyweight to take on some inferior heavyweights.

What part of wake me up when it HAPPENS dont you understand?
I like GGG a lot. It seems though most talk about what he would or could do. Not about what he has done.

Golovkin would NOT be able to move to heavyweight today though, the heavyweights are MUCH larger than before. A roided up Golovkin would get knocked out by Wilder's jab, or overpowered by chagaev.

    I'm sorry but NO.

James Toney would have beaten the dog **** out of the Triple Duck. Glen Johnson would have given him MAJOR problems. Trinidad KO's him and so does Pavlik. Lets not even start talking about Jones' and Hopkins' competition @ 175.

You need to put down the Crack Pipe..

You can shove your NOSTALGIC propaganda up your nose

The only people with the skills and the power to defeat Golovkin were Roy and Toney, and even they would get at least a 30 percent chance on winning.
