The future of our sport is waging on the fighters that are up and coming. There has been great fighters in our past but before they were great they had to be prospects. There is a good list of prospects coming up this year and the next, if you could put your money where your mouth is, who would u be betting for???

That's kind of a random group. :blood I don't know that half of those guys would even be in my list of top ten prospects if one existed.

I looked at the list quite puzzled. I voted Kayode and Gomez because... hmmm... not sure why.

Well, it's hard to name a #1 most promising prospect as guys are going to be at different points in their development at any given time...but guys who merit inclusion on a list either alongside or ahead of the ones in the poll include:

    Oyewale Omotoso
Brandon Rios (although his next bout is a world title challenge, so he's pretty much graduated from prospect to contender)
    Sharif Bogere
    Mikey Garcia
    Danny Garcia
    Kevin Bizier
    Marcus Oliveira
    Christopher Martin
    Deontay Wilder
    Gary Russel Jr.
    Luis Franco

...probably more that would spring to mind if it weren't 4:30 am...

Being undefeated doesn't mean you can't be a 'prospect'. We all learn from our mistakes and defeats. Hell if I can do it, anybody can!

    :-(

You taking some arbitrary list in a poll created by someone on a boxing forum as the absolute authority on boxing's brightest prospects is even dumber than the presentation of said arbitrary list as the only ten options from which to select boxing's brightest prospect.

In a way Alvarez is still a prospect. He is not a title contender. I mean Rios is more of a contender than Alvarez at this point
