Just waiting on the cold wind from the east brigade to storm this thread screaming affirmative action. Lmao! 🙄
I was looking at videos of him the other day, but he's 27. Not old, but I would not consider him a young up and coming fighter. Looking for them to be 23 and under.
Josh Taylor, super-lightweight 6-0 (6 KO's). Fighting Dave Ryan in his 7th fight for the Commonwealth Title. Trained and managed by the McGuigan's in London. Fought in London 2012 and won a Commonwealth Games gold medal in Glasgow 2014. Very much suited to the pro game.
Guys I highlight in red are going nowhere. My incomplete list is.... Naoya Inoue Saul Rodriguez Oscar Valdez Hinata Maruta Liam Williams Brian Carlos Castano Miguel Berchelt Ivan Baranchyk Tugstsogt Nyambayar Sergey Lipinets Bryant Perrella Murat Gassiev Yonaton Guzman Daigo Higa Iwan Zoda Not saying all of them will go anywhere either, but farther than the ones I highlighted.:deal
Nice to see Maruta getting acknowledge, I remember Taka raving about him at one point. Not sure why Ponomarev is in there though...talented but not in the top 20-30 youngsters
Go watch John Bauza, crazy talent, and wasn't old enough to make the olympic team so he turned pro after winning the us youth nationals and been selected the best fighter of the tournament.
