Yeah, the guy who has beaten 20 something title holders and half a dozen HOF fighters in 5 different weight classes is the most protected fighter out there.

    Sure thing chief

Khan is pretty protected considering he hasn't faced a legitimate puncher in a long time.

They don't want to take the chance of the Floyd fight going out the window.

Am I the only one that thinks that the reason Golovkin won't fight Ward at 168 is because he wants to stay at 160 in case of a fight with Floyd in the future. The reason he would go to 168 for Froch and Chavez Jr is because those are fights that would broaden his mass appeal. The Ward fight would certainly give him more rep with boxing fans but honestly not that many casual fans care about Ward since he hasn't been on HBO in almost 2 years. So it's not worth it go up and make it impossible to make it to 154 to fight Floyd after Floyd fights Berto.

Btw I think Ward easily beats Golovkin, I just don't believe Golovkin to be scared of really anybody.

How is Garcia protected? They consistently put him in there with good fighters, and tough style match ups.

Good point. Herrera and Peterson are tough stylistic match ups for Danny. He deserves credit for taking those fights, and he should not get credit for any robberies.

Amir get so much hate it's unreal. Protected how, he faced 3 former champions in a row granted not elite champs and faced 11 former or current world champions in his career.

Yes he got a dodgy chin and says too much in interviews.

as one poster has highlighted khans last 4 fight opponents have an average of 46% k/os.

Compare that to Berto last 4 opponents average of 36% K/OS and he has lost 2 of them.

Maybe khan doesn't deserve Floyd fight but Berto certainly doesn't. Brook and Thurman have even thinner resumes and Bradley has looked shiiiit recently even though he has the best resume by far. At 147 there no much left.

I would agree to the majority of this. Doesn't change the fact that Khan has clearly been avoiding punchers since Garcia(if you count him as a puncher). Berto is **** but i don't know if I would call him protected until he faces more opponents. As it stands he's only faced 2 opponents since his loss to KarASS

Wilder, followed closely by Stevenson. Some say Gift, but he's actually fought decent competition compared to Windmill, and the Pimp.

Gift shouldn't be mentioned in same breath as these two. Stevenson shouldn't be mentioned either despite the recent run. Wilder is a lock.

Unless khan fights Brook or Thurman, the majority of posters will critise him. HE is held to a different standard to ever other boxers our there. The hate is unreal. We've seen him call out his equilvents, Bradley Broner, Marquez. They didn't want that fight.

Peterson rematch, who fault that fell through, Peterson failed drug test and admitted he did it in the first fight too. Does he get as much shiiit as khan, hell no. Khan has repeatedly asked Garcia for a rematch, he doesn't want it, which he is perfectly entitled to as he won convincingly.

I honestly believe khan thinks he would beat Floyd hence why he has been chasing him for 2 years, deluded or not.

Ever since his battle with Matthysse, Swift has been getting alot of soft touches, yet has looked horrible and exposed by Herrera and Peterson. Before Garcia, an even more talented fighter, but still very protected to the point it's sickening, had to be Chris John. He gets schooled by Jmm and really only won 3 rounds at most, and after that fight, he hid in Indonesia, only challenging Rocky Juarez and almost getting ko'd in the U.S. Had his chance to face Pacquiao, Morales, Barrera, or give Marquez a rematch not in Indonesia. What a waste of talent.

I don't think people hold him to a higher standard necessarily. Thurman and Bradley recently was **** on for getting hit by one good punch. Khan is hated a lot because of how tirelessly he has chased a Floyd fight, and in the process he has missed some fight opportunities.

I agree though that he has tried to get major match ups. But he hasn't really called out any big punchers like Maidand, Thurman or Brook. He knows his weakness.

Yeah I think he thinks his style would give problems to Floyd. But he needs to prove it more in the ring than outside talk.
