Shannan Taylor brutally KO1 Antonio Rivera.

Recently got a career set of Taylor and been watching early Shannan scoring some great wins against solid opposition. This was Riveras penultimate fight but he was still a credible opponent with four of his last fights before this one against Artur Grogorian (L KO12 Vacant WBO LW Title), Diosbelys Hurtado (L KO1), Ken Sigurani (W KO1, Sigurani was 18-0 at the time) & Sammy Fuentes (D 10).

Shannan scores an early kd with two brutal left hooks before leaving him stunned for the full count just after the two minute mark. So much to like about Shannan at this stage of his career.

Quite a bit of hype about this fight.....Kess produced a flush left right and sat Beyer down hard....he did not try to get up....only a few minutes into the 3rd round

I re-watched that Terry Norris v Julian Jackson the other day , but ain't seen the McCallum v Curry fight in years , i will look that up asap ,

That was a great fight....one of my favourite fights....I like both guys

Kess came on strong hit joe with 4 or 5 very clean upper cuts....credit to Joe....he changed his fight plan and out boxed Kess....great win :good

 

i agree, one of my highlight fights of 2007.competitive for the `1st 4-5 rounds, then calzaghe started pulling the fight away, after that i knew kessler was in trouble.

I was there mate :tong, the atmosphere was crazy and kessler's fans were all seemingly good guys. The two top super middleweights going to war for 12, I had no voice the next day. Brilliant fight!

 

Was it true thay had 50,000 fans at the fight?

 

Pretty much yeah, was louder than a football match (soccer).

Can't bring myself to watch this again, no way should oscar have gone out like that or agreed to any weight stipulations for fight night.
