Michael v Carter was bloody awesome.

...The best fight involving an Aussie on home soil IMO.

(and that includes Michael v Ellis which I was at Festival Hall to see).

Sorry CHB, for the theatre and build-up, the waring factions + overall the fight. You can't beat Ellis vs Michael.

I'm jealous that you were there!!! :good

Yeah, Ellis v Michael did have it all - the build-up was probably the biggest for an Oz fight I can remember.

Went to see Ellis win - so left a little disappointed - but the heavy beers at the 'House of Stoush' dulled some of the pain.

For what went on inside the ropes, Michael v 'Earthquake' Carter tops the Ellis bout IMO though.

Watched Liu Gang vs Lance Hobson the other night. First and last time, bloody heart breaking to watch, especially the end.

Joe Frazier v Jerry Quarry I, last night. Quite simply, a brutal bout. Both men took some heavy, heavy punishment.

One of my favorites aswell...just a straight up war, I might watch it again when I get home from work.

I had it a draw...the wide scores for Barry didnt do Al justice..Would have loved to see them go again. It was Gatti-Wardesque that one.

Brilliant fight mate but take a look after the last Castillo knock down of Corrales and you will quiet clearly see Goosen "coaching on the apron" , he says something like "Well you gotta knock the ****er out now " or words to effect whilst replacing Diego's Gumsheild , i know a disqualification would have been extreme after a fine effort but i'm interested to know what others opinions of this are . RIP Chico.

Not for the feint hearted ... Infact have you viewed The Holy v Smokin Burt Cooper fight ? Thats one savage brawl whilst it lasted , i spoke to someone over on the General about a year ago and he said Cooper was in Rehab and doing well , i hope he is still straight .

Yes Holyfield and Cooper is a great Heavyweight war. Bert did himself proud that night. Frazier v Quarry I is just blistering. MA15+ for sure.
