Another one I can remember was Gonzalez beating DM. Dude ducked Roy for years.

He still couldn't stop the one eyed Tornado though, he had to rely on that NY doc to stop the fight. Not to save Tony's eye but to save Cotto quitting on his knees AGAIN!!!!!!!!! Doc knew in round 2 Tony couldn't see out of that eye But didn't think to stop the fight ti QUITTO wilted & Tony was beating his chest saying C'mon!!!!

My only regret in following boxing all those years is the fact I never got to see Tony get to fight Floyd That was the fight the fans wanted but Floyd didn't lol He saw what Tony did to Cottos face & knew he couldn't stop the same happening to him. Floyd could run but couldn't hide Tony would get him in the end & crush him like he did Cotto. Cotto had a punch Floyd had feather dusters Tony would laugh at his pathetic pitty pats. I know in my heart Tony would beat him not even the Vegas judges could stop Tony

****ing POS virtually ruined Kermit Cintron aswell. I have nothing but disdain for Maragarito and I support your view 100%. No dissrespect to anybody on the other side of the fence especially @CST80.

Floyd knew Tony’s stamina was world class at that point. That was a major key in his success that most people overlook. The guy never tired no matter what. People will always credit Floyd for his fight iq. I get it. But that’s one reason why he knew matching up with Margarito would pose serious problems. World class stamina on a volume puncher with an atg chin to go with a 73” reach and 3 inch height advantage. Tony wasn’t going to fall like Diego. Floyd knew that.

Margarito couldn’t hit Mayweather with a handful of rice if he threw it at him. Margarito would have received a Gatti type beating.

From brittle hands Floyd? Lol, sure guy. That’s why he did that exactly in the year ____. I’ll let you fill it in.

Floyd hit hard enough to bust Margarito up. The mangy cur Margarito would have posed no problems for Mayweather with his slow ass.

Floyd should have did it then. Instead he paid to not fight him.

Yeah, he bought out his contract with Arum to become a free agent and make more money than any other fighter in history. Definitely a b***h move to avoid Margarito.

He retired to avoid Margarito and Paul Williams. After the Hatton fight, “I’m not trying to fight no welterweights. That isn’t verbatim. That’s word for word. Yes, definitely a female dog move to avoid a guy you said is easy work.

lol I thought he retired to avoid the Oscar rematch? That’s who he was obligated to fight next and the common reason on this site. Margarito wasn’t even in the picture. Mayweather was up to fighting Margarito but he wanted a 20 million dollar fight with Oscar afterwards. Arum disagreed and Mayweather bought out his contract. lol at Margarito being some boogie man that Mayweather avoided.
