Thread title says it all. My personal pick would be Ali ****ing up Liston twice due to the narrative surrounding the fight and getting to see a bully like Liston get punked.
Satisfying is an interesting word. I think watching Booker T. Word score a first round knockout over Anthony Hembrick after Hembrick and his group of corner men came into choreographed dancing and cocky actions was very satisfying.
As the foremost AJ hater on this site, who predicted Andy Ruiz would win by 9th round TKO, so yeah.... that one!
Fury Wilder 3 was satisfying after all the stupid cheating accusations Wilder made against Fury. Tim Tszyu knocking the hell out of Tony Harrison was satisfying for me after all the crap Tony talked about Aussie fighters being inferior. Usyk knocking out Dubios was satisfying after all the nonsense about the low blow in the first fight also Usyk knocking out Tony Bellew was satisfying. I could come up with plenty more maybe later though
Terence ****ing up Spence for 9 rounds and then finishing him after all the **** Errols stupidest fans talked was glorious, no hate on Errol tho. I just hate his fans he was a truly great fighter.
If we are just talking satisfying without a knockout then Maidana beating Broner and Barrera beating Hamed have got to be my top two.
The overlooked Mike McCallum KO over Don Curry. Probably out context, but after telling everyone "the only way I lose this gold medal is by knockout" Kelcie Banks Leigh Wood over Conlan *Wildcard, Holm over Rousey (ducks for cover)
Tyson making Larry Holmes look like a sloppy old drunk. Then Buster turning Tyson back into "Bummy Ike" groping for a mouthpiece
Usky ko'ing Fury in the 9th. Yeah, the ref saved Fury the humiliation, but any other fight gets stopped in the 9th. The honey badger kills the lion. Loved it.
Jeff Harding vs Dennis Andries 1. Harding from memory took it on short notice and regardless, he was chosen because he was limited and they thought Andries would make short work of him. Harding had to fight Andries in Andries own backyard too. Andries had the fight packaged up nicely going into the 12th and final round. Harding was bleeding and battered, and all 3 judges had Andries comfortably ahead. Harding had 3 minutes remaining to pull a KO out his hat. Nothing else would do, as pointed out to him by Johnny Lewis in his corner, and from somewhere he pulled one.
Yep one of the greatest. Also in regards to Kostya I remember that Shamba Mitchell was talking trash after his first fight with Tszyu blaming an injury for the loss then Tszyu absolutely annihilated him in the rematch.
