This is completely false.

Boxers are only, in general, searched when they box.

Interest in Pacquiao and Mayweather is very low, in between their events.

Pacquiao only leads in 2010, as he's fought 3 times to 0

What's more 90% of his interest comes from Asia

 

It's a very misleading article, and I'll show you why

Interest in both Pacquiao and Mayweather is none existent unless they are boxing.

Pacquiao only has considerably more hits, as he's boxing considerably more

This is a very misleading article, and I'll spell out the reasons why...............


1: Boxers aren't actually searched at all, until the day after they have fought. 90% of searches come the day after their fights.

The only reason guys like Ali and Tyson fall behind Pacquiao and Mayweather is that they don't box. As I said, 90% of all internet traffic, in boxing, comes the day after an event.

Why? Casual fans read the result in a newspaper, and want to find out more.

2: This also accounts for Pacquiao being so far ahead of Mayweather. If you look at both their invidual charts, NEITHER fighter gets much interest, and search hits, at times when they aren't boxing.

Pacquiao and Mayweather get huge spikes of interest, the day after they fight. The only reason Pacquiao has double the hits of Mayweather, is that Floyd barely boxed in 2010

 

that cant be accurate. No way Rigondeaux gets more hits than Gamboa, Gamboa isnt even on the list.

 

3: You need to look at the breakdowns of where the hits come from.

Mayweather is very popular in the USA, Ireland, UK, Mexico, Germany - all the major markets basically. His hits are spread quite evenly.

I'd say 90% of Pacquiao's hits come from the Phillipines. Quite understandible. His level of interest in the USA isn't any more than Mayweather. And his levels of interest in the UK, Mexico and Germany are much lower.

 

^That may be true, but if in the end Pacquiao has more google hits than Mayweather, then that is what it is.

Mayweather is more... TMZ-target-prone when it comes to his life so he gets more hits if you count out fight night hits, America likes that ****. Like Charlie Sheen (only Sheen's much worse)

He gets more hits, when he's fighting, and Floyd's not. But when they're both fighting, it's about the same.

What's more, the vast majority of those hits are from the Phillipines and the UAE

Levels in the USA, and Europe are quite low

 

That's like saying George Foreman earned more money than Sugar Ray Robinson in 1985, but let's ignore the fact that Robinson was dead

 

We had done this before... and proved beyond a reasonable doubt that "Klitschko" by itself is googled much more than Haye or any variation. When people go to look up something about Wlad. They don't exactly have to type in Wladimir Klitschko. Klitschko by itself does the trick. Which is why this way of thinking never works.

 

Truth is, interest in both Mayweather and Pacquiao is very low, until the day after their fight.

And traffic for the potential Mayweather vs. Pacquiao bout is also very low.
