What are the events that you consider the most shocking or unexpected to happen in boxing’s history?

It can be anything from upsets, come-from-behind KOs or controversial moments, including out of the ring events.

If you can put together your own top 3 events, all the better.

The "fanman" landing in the ring during Bowe-Holyfield 2. Nothing comes close to matching that event in terms of "shocking" or "unexpected".

Chavez knocking out Taylor with only 2 mere seconds remaining in the fight. Foreman ragdolling Frazier must have been pretty wild as well.

Chavez was helped by a very dodgy referee.

Mike Tyson been sent to jail in 1992. I honestly didn’t think it would happened. The impact was felt throughout the boxing world not just amongst the Heavyweight division as, even though Evander Holyfield was the then current Heavyweight champion, Tyson was still the biggest dominant name in the sport. It’s not often that boxing makes the main headline news on the front pages as well as the back pages but this was definitely one of those occasions.

Giving us the great James Brown (the announcer not the singer) quote of - "Stranger things have happened but none stranger than this."

You had this superman of a heavyweight. Savior of the white race, a great in the making, a GIANT among men. Then some 190 pounder blasts Willard out in 3 rounds lol.

I think we 'might' have witnessed a little bit of Boxing Corruption last night as Bivol was being asked about a Crack at Smith or the other fighter.

Bivol answered, or rather was answering, that "when he signed with Hearn for this fight, he was assured a fight with... as he was speaking one of his handlers or interpreters' walked behind him and whispered in his ear and Bivol's answer became more generalized... a few seconds or so later that person says something to him again.

did we witness a near slip of the tongue and a possible insight to the already outcome result of Smith's up & coming fight with whom ever it is?

    did anyone else notice this?
