Froch: 35. Been into some ugly, ugly wars prior.

Eubank: 31. Been into more fights, but had a better defence than Froch.

    How to measure?

Truth is, Froch is what he is. Yes, he over achieves, but in reality is/was not really that good.

Froch is widely considered to be in his prime.

    Fair enough.

But those two victories was over AA, who had no business at SMW, and 42 year old Johnson.

See how Wards resume will be picked apart in the future, as beeing done with Calzaghes?

    Froch was shot before the Ward fight; he was shot even before the Kessler fight;
hell, i'll go even further and say he was shot before the Pascal fight.

Green against Reid, actually. In truth, Frochs prime lasted only two minutes in the third round against Pascal. Everything before or after is "beeing green" and "past prime/shot" and therefore counts for nothing.

    LOL:lol:

    Where do I start:
    • Froch is 34
    • Eubank had been involved in almost 20 world title fights
    • Eubank was training for a light heavyweight contest and was offered the Calzaghe match 7-10 days prior to it happening at 168.
Cross that with the fact that:
    • Froch had a perfect training camp and Ward is a better fighter now than Calzghe was then.
Why am I even replying?

I think his nose has something to do with it; you can't have that nose and not be shot

 Neither was shot...but people like to pretend Eubank was....

    Truth is...

Eubank had only lost two very close fights to Collins prior to Calzaghe. The last of which by Split Decision in Collins' back yard. Eubank only retired because was frustrated by the close Collins' loses that cost him his 0 and a chance at Jones, not a real decline in his abilities. He was 29 at the time of the Collins' fights. He was attempting a Light Heavy run when Collins refused to face Calzaghe, so he stepped in.
