Please explain. I do think Duran is overrated to a certain degree, but he is certainly an ATG, and one of the top 3 lightweights of all time. He went way beyond his effective weight to fight all the great fighters he could, and won many great matches, despite being undersized substantially. He went the distance with Hagler and was very competitive, has a victory over Sugar Ray Leonard, and many other great fighters. He did meet his kryptonite in Tommy Hearns, but many ATGs have been obliterated like that, sometimes to very inferior fighters even. Duran has a great resume, challenged himself and did well despite being at tremendous disadvantages in the higher weight classes, and had great longevity. Please explain why he is "the most overrated boxer in history?" Bowe for example is far more overrated...
floyd, with roy being the most athletically gifted.i also believe roy and ali to be the least skilled out of the group.
yeah, because Toney is the only fighter in the history of boxing to use that technique. Go check some Archie Moore footage. Toney's shoulder roll also didn't help him much against Griffin and Thadzi. Toney had a beautiful style to watch and he is a ATG fighter, but he does not belong in the same class as Whitaker, Duran and Leonard.
