You have to pick one. I know it's tough.

I was thinking the typical names; Napoles, Moore, Duran etc.

But I went with Mario Kindelan! Just seemed so complete. Like the most perfect mix you could imagine of classic technique, old time smarts, athleticism and flair.

skilled? Duran. Skilled does not mean best to me, as I always say, and have been doing a lot just lately in fact. Being the best is concerned with more than just skills, it is ultimately concerned with being effective, that's what it comes down to. But purely for skill, Duran is about the best pick I can make. The likes of Napoles are up there. Whitaker would be a better shout in the 'complete fighters' stakes as opposed to the 'most skilled' stakes for me. Napoles would actually be a contender for the top spot in both the 'most complete' and the 'most skilled' stakes though, which says a about how EFFECTIVE he was, which means he is actually one of the best fighters of all time. Sorry to sound confusing, I know what I mean though.

So yeah, on this threads question, I am going with Duran.

What Robinson has to boot though is a lot of skill, a lot variety, and an immensity of PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES, and yes I believe that he is the best fighter of all time.

    Marco Antonio Barrera.

Any man that can go 12 rounds with Hamed without getting sparked out can quite honestly be mentioned in the same breath as Roberto Duran, Sugar Ray Robinson, Jose Napoles, and anyone else you care to mention. Naz was f'real...just ask Foreman.

do you really think Barrera was as skilled as Roberto Duran? Straight up? Barrera is one versatile fighter and an all time great who had the fundamentals down to a tee but I differentiate in terms of skill when I watch the two fighters on film, personally anyway. As I say, I'm not commenting on which man was ultimately better or more effective, not at all. I don't think a comment such as yours is on 'any man who can go so many rounds with such and such' etc is warranted, as the only way to assess skills is by watching film, not results. You have to watch the film to look at their skillset, not the achievement. As I say, clear difference for me.

MAB ranks very high on my list of skilled fighters. His whipping of Hamed was a masterpiece.

Hard to tell if you are joking or not when it comes to Barrera, I think you are joking here to be fair... but if you are not then you are out of your mind.

I`m going to go with Pernell Whitaker on this one, personally... he had everything except 1 punch power.

 I honestly thought I had made it as obvious as humanly possible that I was kidding. I don't even rate the Hamed victory as Barrera's best.

Marvin Hagler. I wouldn't say he's the most talented, but I can't say the man has any weaknesses. He had technique, punching ability and a cast iron jaw. In tip top shape, he was invincible.
