Between 3 of Nacho Beristein's finest pupils who do you think was the most skilled? Who had the better boxing ability and who was the most well rounded?

    I'd go for Marquez, personally.

    Marquez.

He had enough skill to complete reimagine his style in order to make himself a draw.

Marquez was a top class featherweight-lightweight. His stint at welter has been a bit meh, despite his stylistic advantages over Pacquaio.

    Lopez.

The most well rounded of the three in terms of his ability to combine offense and defense consistently throughout his career.

Interesting. I thought that Finito was more skilled than Marquez, and Roman just might have been more skilled than Finito.

I really thought Gonzalez was gonna go to be goat type material but it's clear he struggled with certain styles and he moved too far as his last two fights showed.

Lopez and Gonzalez should be rated quote close I feel both supremely great fighters.

But JMM has that extra dimension imo an absolute legend.

In the article based in The Ring for “Best I trained” he has Marquez in most catergories. I’ll try to find it and post the answers.

    Roman was the most skilled.

    Marquez was better though.

    Lopez is over rated.

    It's Lopez.

I'm no fan of Lopez either, and his opposition left a lot to be desired, but purely in terms of skill he was superb.

    Gotta be objective.

Roman was the slickest defensively, but wasn't offensively as skilled as Lopez/Marquez.

And Lopez has the edge over Marquez because he was defensively more sound.

Lopez by far most skilled offensively and most skilled defensively. Arguably most skilled period
