He lost to Tiberi no matter what angle you look at it.
Discipline is a part of skill.
I thought he lost to Mccallum the first time.
And Johnson bout was razor close. Johnson even dropped him.
Toney was a great boxer no doubt but at a higher weight he excelled better.
Nunn wreaked unbeaten Tate. Finished Kalambay in one round. Roldan and Barkley as well.
Sure Toney beat him but Nunn had the better overall body of work at Middle.
Not disputing that Toney ended up being the greater boxer overall. But at a higher weight class.
Middle Toney had the Nunn win and the Johnson win and what else?

You must be one of few people who think Mc Callum won that fights. I remembre an HBO poll before trhe second fight where the large majority thought Toney won that fight.Personally I can't see how one can give that fight to Mc Callum, Toney landed so many more clean hard blows.

Discipline is not a skill in my book. What is meant here are boxing skills.

Discipline is an acquired skill set.
He lost to Tiberi simple as that- dont care what the excuse was.
Mccallum landed alot of jabs on James first fight.
Funny because alot of people thought Mccallum beat James the second time were I thought Toney won.

McCallum was the most skilled out of these fighters, he was slower at middle than at 154 though and was getting on a bit by the time he fought Toney.
