Pacquiao for me. Look what he did to skilled boxers like Morales and Barrera. His work rate was immense, he hit hard and he wasn't just some come forward all the time pressure fighter/swarmer, he could counter punch, his ability to switch angles and his footwork that allowed him to throw those combinations was just astonishing. Plus he did it against much bigger harder hitting guys like Margarito, Cotto and Mosley.

his style was difficult. He wasnt necessarily more skilled then the fighters he fought.

While he does come forward applying intelligent pressure, I'm reticent to shoehorn Chocolatito into the stylistic mold of "swarmer". I don't really think it fits, any more than it would for, say, GGG.

Answering the question, Hatton & Wangek are up there.

Hatton wasn`t even as good as Horn, GGG P4P is on another level to a prime Hatton.

h2h you mean? Or p4p? Horn would obviously mangle Hatton, if you mean the former, but we must just agree to disagree if the latter.

um of course he is - read my post; I don't even consider GGG a swarmer. Comparing apples to kumquats, then.

He was more adaptable than any fighter from the 90`s aside from Floyd, both fighters improved into the 10`s but Floyd was not a swarmer and wasn`t effective fighting on the front foot the way Calzaghe was in the 90`s and beyond.

That fight is MANDATORY. It's hard to believe what they both did that night. Imho the best fight that ever happened.

Applying pressure in a fight =/= fighting in a swarming style.

    Think people aren't grasping that..

Duran and Tyson were counter pressure fighters, Duran would offer his chin as bait constantly, then slip the shot and counter, Tyson would do the same by always moving forwards slipping and countering, the opponent feels pressured to punch, Loma does the same thing wityh his constant jab that taps his opponeets gloves they feel they have to punch then he counters, Canelo does the same by always moving his lead foot inside the punching range while his body if off center leaning back in the safe zone, when the opponent punches Canelo counters, that`s pressure tactics.

GGG, Cotto at 140lbs, Chocolatito, Calzaghe, Margocheato. Class to themselves in the last twenty years. What sets them apart is their ability to cut off the ring. Truly a lost art. All 12 rounds they are chest to chest, always in punching range, and stick with their man like a shadow.

Pressure fighters might be my favorites.
