As great as Pac is, he's no pressure fighter. He needs his man to come to him or at least stand with him in the middle of the ring.

He sucks at cutting the ring (was actually at his best doing that with Mayweather who was constantly on the ropes or in the corner, but he couldn't do anything with it due to his shoulder). Look at him with Marquez and Bradley. Pressure fighters force their offense at all times and the great ones feast on guys like that who refuse to hold their ground.

You'll see it again with Thurman.

He should have got his lead southpaw foot on the outside of Floyd`s orthodox lead foot to stop him escaping from the ropes.

    Meh, boxer-puncher is Froch.
    Chisora more of a swarmer/pressure

Agree re chisora but how often did Froch fight of the back foot and just kept coming forward applying pressure.

Tbf it might be just my interpretation of the initial question is slightly different

Based on what? Beating Steve Rolls??

When he fought non-cab drivers in Danny and Canelo he was ordinary. It could be argued GGG was 0-3 against Canelo and Danny J.

    MAB is #1 for me

    Other fun mentions:

    Hatton, Rios, Kirkland, Margarito, etc

Sure. But his shoulder was blown out in the fourth round. It had been ripped since training camp and Roach + Pac went ahead anyways for the payday of course.

No question, he had reconstructive shoulder surgery (from Tom Brady surgeon) after the fight.

All the rest is meaningless knowing that.

My memory, if it serves me correctly was that Froch did and increasingly did as the fight progressed. But ward defensively both snidely and great neuralises most of his opponents
