My opinion is that anyone in this discussion would get KTFO by Jimmy Young, Jerry Quarry and Max Baer. Excuse me while I drink more NyQuil and play some five on one Nostalgia 500 now.

    Lennox Lewis
    Wlad Klitschko
    Evander Holyfield
    Riddick Bowe
    Chris Byrd

of course, brute power and oft trump skills, especially in this division.

I thought Sergei Lychiovich had some serious skills but they were channeled through a less than willing medium.

I don't agree with anyone shouting for Wladimir at all.

Byrd should be number one IMO. Damiani had some good skills too.

Well, other than Lewis, Holyfield, or Bowe, you couldn't find a better heavyweight in the last 20 years than Wlad, including his brother Vitali.

As to my list, in no particular order:

    Lewis
    Holyfield
    Wlad
    Byrd
    Golota
    Bowe
I would've included Tyson, but I feel his most skillful years were in the 1980s, outside the scope of this thread.

But "better" and "more skilled" are not the same thing.

    Jones (if counted a HW)
    Toney (if counted a HW)
    Holyfield
    Byrd

    and perhaps
    Moorer
    Bowe

Lewis and Wlad don't belong here IMO. Unless we talk skill relative size.
