Yes, Quillin is a good fighter.. but he's not great, nor is he even really proven at this point. When we're talking about stacked weight classes, if he's really someone you're bringing up when in my view, MW is one of the weakest classes as seen by the fact that you've got guys who couldn't get it done at 147 and 154, dominating at 160 at the moment.

Since when has the MW division been the "marquee" division?

The biggest money fights for the past decade have been at 140-154, bar the odd big HW fight.

I'd argue 168 has been bigger than both 160 and 175 in the last 10 years. Both with the fighters that have fought there, as well as the money being paid for fights.

160 has been dead for years, it used to be a marquee weight class but isn't any longer.

"Historically"(as in 25+ years ago) perhaps, but why in 2015 would any 147/154lbs fighter want to move up to 160??

    The money is at 140-154.

I cant remember the last time 160 was the "Hot" division in boxing

Canelo fights there in all but name.

Fighting at 154.5, doesnt make a real MW and everyone knows that.

How on earth is 160 a marquee division??

You have GGG, and then who?
Quillin? Jacobs? Guys who you constantly call "bums"

Why would he move to 160 when hes only weighing 154.5 on thhe scales?

Why on earth go up a division? Will he make more money? No.
Theres basically NO draw to going to 160.

He could fight Cotto at 155 or even 154 if he wants.
GGG is the ONLY fight at 160, so why go up until hes ready to fight GGG?

Theres Americans in the top 10 of the MW division too.

Stop pretending its because of a lack of Americans that the MW division is weak.

Its weak because its weak. Period.

Theres literally one guy there who can get you a pay day, and even then Canelo made more money than GGG ever did by fighting Kirkland at the weekend.

Why cant you just admit you were wrong to call the MW division a marquee division and move on?

Also, if they're both "not great and over-rated", then what does that say about the 160 division when they're both top 10 fighters?

Don't know which is the most stacked division right now but if I had to choose only one to watch CW would probably be my pick given the amount of quality fights I've seen at that weight recently.
