Liston, boxer/puncher is a great call. As with, say, Duran, sometimes the technical abilities can be overshadowed by the more instantly gratifying display of power and, in Duran’s case, animalistic malice.

When these types of guys can no longer rely as heavily on their power advantage, their technical abilities and savvy are sometimes peeled back to better effect.

For e.g. - though he could still thump, while no longer possessing the speed, energy and snap for his peak, sum power, Liston’s later career dismantling of Henry Clark is a very enjoyable watch in so far as Sonny’s boxing skills being well on display.

Mike Tyson was better at countering the jab.
