I think this whole thread is a kind of self-administered therapy session on behalf of the OP. If we can all help him in some small way, then we've done something constructive with our day.
Lennox Lewis would have his jaw shattered if he ever tried it on with John in the street, the street is not the same as the ring even though John was handy there also. John actively wanted to deck Lennox last year, Lennox was full of fear when they were in the same room at an awards do not long after, I know because I was there and I could see it in his eyes, John stared him down and Lennox looked to the floor
Gypsy John was certainly a handful in his day... Bartley Gorman being one admirer. But let's get it right, Lennox Lewis a unit of a man, one of the greatest HW champions of all time... a guy who has brawled with Tyson and Rahman, is not going to give a flying **** about him.
Lennox Lewis is a respected and famous person, with a fairly clean image. Rich, successful in his own right. Of course he's not going to want to be seen brawling with Tyson Fury's dad. Not unless he really has to. It's considered childish and embarrassing for normal grown-up people to get involved in such nonsense.
That story also sounds like total BS to me. I can't imagine a man who fought and beat the guys Lennox did being too concerned about the thoughts of a man who was knocked out cold by Steve Garber - a guy with a 24% KO ratio who was on a 5 loss streak (3 of those losses by KO) and never won another fight after retiring John Fury. I'd also wager that someone like Julius Francis or Scott Welch would beat seven bells out of John. I almost feel bad saying that as it's not him bigging himself up here like he's some sort of world beater but he has spoke of facing Lewis before like he wouldn't get KTFO in seconds.
The only person I've seen being offensive hiding behind a computer is you pal. On topic, I think John Fury hasn't helped Tyson at all with his ranting and squawking about how "nobody likes Tyson". It fills Tyson with white noise and fuels a sense of not belonging... something which clearly bothers him a great deal. It's also a self fulfilling prophecy.. even I, a Tyson fan, have become bored of being TOLD I don't like Tyson by John Fury. After a time you begin to think 'bore off the lot of you'.
