True. As is James DeGale, which is why I think their fight will be a great watch...

 

Danny Garcia is the most Underrated Boxer right now and he may even beat Thurman, I wouldn't be one bit surprised. Deontay Wilder is not underrated but he's just solidifying his spot at THEE HEAVYWEIGHT of the modern era. Garcia on the other hand has beaten ELITE fighters over the past 5 years and have not loss any fights, he has very good power in both hands although his left hook is his bread and butter, he also has great timing which can negate speed for much quicker fighters (Khan), along with having great timing he has pretty good reflexes which is very strange because it's NOT Mayweather-esq at all but it's not that easy to catch him clean, most of the time he's in good position to defend and counter/punch, and he's able to make adjustments throughout a fight which is a biggie since he can face a fighter who is more talented and skilled then he is but because he's able to capitalize on a fighters weakness he could easily upset the best of the best.

Like I said I wouldn't be one bit surprised if he defeats Thurman especially by wearing him down to the body which is where Thurman is vulnerable at and he could also exploit Thurmans unecessary movement which could work against his stamina. Another thing I notice is how people diss Garcia but can never specify his weaknesses and that's because he has very little holes in his game which is another reason he's undefeated.

 

For me, I'd say Mares is an underrated boxer (when he actually wants to box and not brawl,) and I also think Jermall Charlo is an underrated technician as well.

I think it's interesting that some people mentioned Danny Garcia. He's fundamentally sound, but I wouldn't consider him to be technically superior to Jermall or Abner.

 

Golovkin. Great talent, yet he is always hated on this forum. I am sure he will beat Canelo.

 

He actually is underrated on this forum as far as his boxing ability. Lol
