Billy Graham welterweight. Top Welterweight in the late 40's & 50's tangling with
Kid Gavilan, Joey Giardello, Carmen Basilio, multiple times, and winning and losing close decisions
    with those all-time greats.

How many fights did Burley have at Light Heavy?
Ditto Nelson who was a light weight! Gans had consumption when he lost to Nelson, he was also past his best.

    Holman Williams at 160
    Prime Emile Griffith at 147
Old Joe “ Bones “ Brown at 135
    Vincente Saldivar at 126
    Manuel Ortiz at 118
Pascal Perez at 112 came straight to mind. I will have to have a think about heavyweights and light heavyweights.

    Cheers.

    Good call.

This guy was an absolute maestro at light heavyweight, but was somehow unable to translate it into significant success at heavyweight.

This plus the lack of film, has made him largely forgotten today.

He definitely jumps out when you look at his resume. Just quality all around.
