Name some fighters, past or present, who just don't get the recognition they deserve.

Sumbu Kalmbay. good fighter excellent boxer with good power and speed.beat a lot of top fighters McCallam Collins Graham Dewitt Barkley.Remembered now for the fluke KO against Nunn which If they fought ten times probably wouldn't happen again with Sumbu getting a fair share of victorys.A forgotten master.

Not the most underrated but still forgotten by too many people, Meldrick Taylor. Great, but tragic career. 17-year old became a olympic gold medalist, became a champ, beat and finished prime(?) Buddy McGirt and was 2 seconds from glory of beating the undefeated Julio Cesar Chavez in their legendary match. Man he had some crazy speed and cool combos, knew how to box but got to those wars occasionally

I agree and Collins always had an excuse for why he lost each time vs whoever, the best person he beat was Eubank who I think Kalambay would have toyed with.

Donald Curry. He had a very short prime but when he was prime, he was something else.

Taylor`s defense was very weak because he threw too many punches he took a lot of punches from Chavez and was spent by the last round.

Good fighter shame he doesn't get mentioned as much as the fighters he beat

I don't agree with it and hate to say it, but it almost seems like Kalambay is known more for getting put out by Nunn than his actual accomplishments. That whole division was a warzone.

    sherman the tank williams

    tiny heavyweight from west indies

as good a trialhorse heavy as you will get
take on anyone short notice and not give a **** about there reputation /power/abilty /

does not even come to just survive but was and is always willing to give it a go and fight back
this is the trialhorse deontay should have faced early on to give him some rounds when he was blowing everyone away.

a real hard / hard man

even evander holyfield sat out against him.

always in shape (bowe/fury/fatties/ take note / always prepared /.

fans you gotta love a fighter like sherman williams he is what every single prospect needs to face rather than all these lard ass heavyweight trialhorses that abound in there 100s .

sherman williams give all propects a good workout if they were prepared to face him.

Jeffrey Mathebula is a fighter I always liked in recent years. Wicked tall for super bantam(5'10-5'11) and not the most skilled fighter with a chin thats not glass but has been cracked. Very tough kid with two boulders for balls, got tagged a lot but would always regroup and return it.

Fought an underrated fight against a rampaging Nonito Donaire several years ago. Acquitted himself very well. I primarily remember him for that.

Ya he showed massive stones in that one. The scorecards don't reflect the fight at all. Going into the 12th I had it even. On the scorecards Donaire almost pitched a shutout.
