Great post. Always came to fight. Only stopped once. If was prime today today, gives Joshua hell. Probably still loses, but with his chin, Joshua coukd

Bull**** scoring for an Arum golden child, no doubt.

I remember Wilfredo Vasquez Jr giving Nonito some serious problems around that time as well.

Donaire may have flirted with greatness, but a lot of it seemed to boil down to his massive size advantage over most fighters he fought... and he could just be troubled at any point in his career.

Joshua could punch himself out, then who knows. Not saying josh loses, but would be interesting

Yeah nobody wanted to fight Kalambay ! .after he beat Graham none of the British boys would go near him with good reason I think he beats Eubank Watson and Benn beat Collins and Mccallam was avoided like the plague after he lost to Nunn way to dangerous to risk fighting when you could fight the guys he took to school (Barkley Dewitt etc for more money and much less risk .

Sumbu Kalambay is pretty much the prototype/pinnacle for the OP's question. @lloydturnip knocked it out of the park with the first response.

Besides the ones mentioned, I think Yuri Arbachakov and Orlando Canizales are greatly underrated. Both very skilled technicians who can box and punch and also have one of the smoothest boxing style. They’re both comparable to Ricardo Lopez as far as technical skills go in the lower weights.

Gassiev is pretty underrared . Some people think he barely got past Lebadez ad think Usyk beating him is a foregone conclusion.
I wont be suprised at all if/when he gives Usly hell. If he can get those body shots in early he can make it his fight
