Ring ratings aren't great either. Boystov still hasn't fought a big name and Valuev hasn't been in the ring since 2009. I don't think I'd put Dimitrenko or Arreola in the Top 10 either. I'd put Thompson, Solis, and Peter ahead of those 4. As for the OP.....I wouldn't say the Boxrec Top 10 underrates any particular boxer....maybe Chambers should be a bit higher than #7, and Chag should be up in there. Chisora is not Top 20, much less Top 10.
And I'm missing Tony "Tiger" Thompson in those as well. Maybe he's actually the most underrated top 10 boxer.
in a addition he is the only Wlad victim Id want to see get anotehr shot, i think he would do slightly better
Nope, they are pretty much accurate as accurate the automatic formulas could be, they does not hype, does not hug, does not hate or biases they gives points based on the ranks. But yes sometime they lack the spirit, they does not look into the performance itself, so win is a win no matter how good or bad in reality the boxer looked. So I would guess the boxerec rating gives somehow average rankings. With Ring ranking you may see more spirit and more accurate estimate of boxer overall abilities .... but nothing is perfect, Ring rating may be seriously biased towards boxers whose abilities were huge lately while the people who makes the rating overestimates their current abilities ... simply they hug someone nuts for too long.
