    Aurelio Herrera. With the testimony we have now from opponents and people who saw him fight, I cannot imagine him being anything but a unanimous top 10 entry on any greatest puncher list. I wonder if The Ring would add him if they made another "100 Greatest Punchers" list.

    Lem Franklin He came up under the same amateur trainer as Joe Louis. The man named Lammin' Lem as the harder puncher. Hall of Fame baseball player Tris Speaker, an avid fight watcher, called Franklin the hardest-hitting HW he's ever seen. Many people debated that in the press during the 1940s.
