Dan Birmingham ... I don't know why he isn't being showcased like the other trainers in the biz. I know back in I think 2004 he was trainer of the year when Lacy won the IBF super middleweight strap, and Winky had beaten Shane and Tito. He also trained Chad Dawson when he was on his way up ... Does anyone have an update on Birmingham? I know that Lacy and Dawson had left him as of late --
Didnt birmingham already won trainer of the year in 2005 and 2004? his fighters have been losing lately, so i dont think hes underrated
He had Lacy train with Winky Wright to prepare him for the southpaw Joe Calzaghe :shock: , I mean he would of been better of going with an orthodox fighter he resembles Joe more than Winky . You'd have to question had he ever even seen Calzaghe fight . So I'm not really sure why he's the most underated trainer . McGirt is probably underated due to his huge losing streak, it's mainly attributeable to him being the trainer of the 'opponent' in tv fights .
Id say Ziggy Rosalski is underrated. But not really cause he's not really well known by Americans. But indeed tho he is a great trainer.
I think you mean Andrzej Gmitruk? Rozalski was horrible that night when he was translating for McGirt. Speaking of horrible trainers, McGirt is #1 on that list.
