It's really not. Golota was ****ed. Broken bones in his face and something in his neck had been rearranged.
Vitali b/c he was ahead in the fight against a non-threatening opponent. Second is Devon Alexander- quit clear as day, and I've disliked him ever since. Third is Dawson vs. Ward. The rest I wouldn't qualify as quit jobs. But how can you make a list of quitters without listing the master- Acelino Freitas.
I'm sorry but NO MAS was the most pathetic of ALL TIME. I love Ortiz, but Ortiz-Maidana is up there too, although Ortiz did make up for it.
Why does Ortiz get **** for quitting against Maidana, the fight was stopped because of hits cuts / bruises, he didn't quit In his interview he said he was too young to get beat up, but he did not quit
If you want to see a proper quit job look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkmrmrnD1d8 Briggs quit after literally not one punch landed
Well this is another disgusting thread. We aren't the persons involved and we can't really critize those who battle in the ring for quiting. Since we would never truly understand that pain they have gone through in order to get where they are. Please show some respect to the warriors. That is however a real quit.
Vitali by leaps and bounds. None of the other fighters mentioned had 8-1 leads going into their quittage. I watched that fight live and could only BARELY give Byrd the 5th rd. Vitali was dominating Byrd. And his jab, still uneffected by the injury was his most effective weapon in that fight. I understand he didnt understand the implications and stigma associated with the quitttage, but he should have simply jab his way to a UD, even if he'd lost the final 3 rds he'd still have won by wide and UNANIMOUS decision.:rofl
Golota probably would have been killed if he had fought on against Tyson. Should be a TKO, not quit (nc for weed?? haha). Just because referees can only see whats on the surface, doesnt mean there isnt other reasons that they cant see that could stop a fight. Against Grant, he didnt quit. He had just got knocked down and was confused. The ref should have asked him a question like how many fingers or are you ok? I think George even said that the ref should have asked Grant if he had wanted to fight on when he got knocked down, it would have been a much shorter fight. Worse quit job in recent memory? Tor Hamer. Disgraceful. He wasnt even hurt lol
