    You know, the boxers who had extremely awkward styles, and in all honesty, their styles were kind of painful to watch if you're a purist. I would say Ricardo Mayorga.

    I don't know about painful to watch but Alan Minter always seems to fit the bill for me of an orthodox boxer who just looks more unskilled than he actually he is....I always thought of him as the Larry Bird of boxing...just looks so ordinary, slow almost like a plodder but gets the job done!

    Ali was fairly unorthodox in his day.

    Naseen Hamed had a style that sure was not orthodox.
