Can you find a more despicable world title fight than 11-2 Josue Camacho vs 3-5 Eddie Vallejo for the WBO World Title? http://boxrec.com/boxer/5361
Charles Martin vs Vyacheslav Glaskov for the vacant IBF heavyweight title. After that fight you could see the quality was not world class. It's good Joshua was around to retrieve and keep the belt in decent hands in what was probably the most easily predicted and easily won heavyweight title.
Francisco Quiroz won the WBA Light Flyweight Title by KOing another former journeyman, Lupe Madera. Quiroz defended the title twice, winning once and then losing the belt. Quiroz finished his career with 5 consecutive losses, thus being a former Champion with a losing record.
I think the Briggs fight that has just been sanctioned is strange... I love Briggs but he hasn't fought anyone decent for years
To be fair, Madera was a pretty solid contender and had managed to unseat a pretty good champ in Tokashiki. Quiroz had defeated a couple of contenders before he defeated Madera, and managed a successful defense. I think he might have had a better record had he not been thrown to the wolves so early in his career; because those victories indicate that he could fight a bit.
