Most would agree that Sergio Martinez schools either Canelo or GGG

I mean a slow plodder like GGG I see him stopping similar fashion as Paul Williams.
Canelo would make a better fight of it but he couldn't hang either over the long haul..

It's a damn shame their careers just missed each other

G hunts down and stops Martinez. Have you watched a younger version of G going back to his fights in Germany? Sanchez tinkered with his style a little too much in my opinion but that's neither here nor there. Prime G who used to cut the ring off beautifully stops him late IMO. As for Canelo he probably gets another gift decision.

I don't agree at all. GGG would have stopped Martinez in the same fashion that Margarito did. Martinez would probably have a much better time against Canelo but gets robbed on the scorecards.

I love all of the unbiased Canelo loses but wins a gift/robbery card lol! It sounds so eerily similar to general forum rhetoric

G G G & Canelo both stop Sergio inside 6. Martinez was weak. Brutal batterings ensue from real middleweights

I give Martinez a chance at outboxing GGG, but I could see Canelo edging him by decision.

Canelo has iron chin. And while he remains Golden Boy cash cow he is almost impossible to beat on points in the States. Martinez now matter how hard he tries a draw is the best he gets.
A fight with Golovkin would be similar to the Chavez but this time Golovkin finishes the job and stops Martinez in 10 rds.

I saw both fight live in their primes. While I think Sergio is underrated, prime GGG was a monster. GGG by mid to late round stoppage.

Golovkin's hand-speed was quite good before he started to age and his timing and accuracy amplified that. The fact that he's been consistently able to catch quicker men, even as an elder, is indicative of what I'm saying. But Golovkin's asset is one that is much too ignored, and that's his jab. I have little issue saying that it's one of the best to ever grace middleweight. He has the sort of stick that nullifies all sorts of styles. Martinez would be out-jabbed and broken down late.

Alavrez and Martinez would be delightful to watch, but Canelo's political connections give him a decision because Martinez couldn't win clear enough.

It must be horrible being an Alvarez hater (he has lost every close decision he has been in lol)!

Thinking he is not good, picking him to lose constantly! Reading countless threads that denigrate him and call him Clenelo. Cheering against him and lo and behold your scorecard has him unbiasedly losing oddly enough...it must be tough. I am not even a fan and I enjoy the constant whining

Even against a "clean" Alvarez, and without Saul's nonsense with weight, this slice of Argentine beef would not be to the Mexican's taste, too skilled. After all, look how he fared against the trio of Floyd, Trout and Lara. Golovkin would be a different matter. Even with good knees, Martinez would struggle to keep him at bay.
