Hey everyone, I'm 16 year old amateur boxer from Europe, I'm heavyweight, I weight 200 pounds and 6 feet 3 inch tall. I started boxing before 8 months, but last month and a half I trained really hard, for two and a half to three hours 4 days a week. But two weeks ago I started feeling lack of motivation, also my hands become "heavy". I just felt like I don't want to box any more. I attend very good school, one of the best in my country, and I feel like I could have very good future in other professions, maybe in law or medicine, and when you train 3 hours a day, and you need another hour just to get to the gym, it is really hard to have enough time to study and have good grades, but it is possible, and to do that you need motivation, and I don't feel that "fire" inside of me, as I felt three weeks ago. I took two weeks off, and I don't feel that "fire" in myself, so I thing its not overtraing(also, I have very good nutrition). Instead, I started spending more time learning germane and french. But when I hear song which reminds me of Mike Tyson, Joe Frazier or Muhammed Ali I get really sad, because I quit. Honestly I feel like a moron, because I quit, because I felt so good in the gym. I hope that you get how I feel, and I will be very pleased for every reply. Have a nice day Muhammad Ali G.O.A.T
Its honestly all up to you, its common for guys to lose interest after a while especially when they have post secondary and or a job. I often don't get the recommended hours of sleep because of school. But thegoal of trying to improve and be a real good boxer keeps me coming in for the full 3 hours. If you don't feel it anymore maybe its time to hang up the gloves but if you do still want to keep going but are just exhausted from work and school you can always resort to using pre workout supplements to give you the energy you need to finish your workout.
So let me guess this straight your not motivated to train? and your asking for advice on how to get motivated? Yet your motivated enough to make a thread asking about how to be motivated? Stop being ****ing lazy! You don't have to train and i can respect that but it annoys me when i hear people saying i want to BUT im not motivated today.
Its called experience and learning things. What did i say that you disagree with? Or you just commenting for the sake of it, its not like i hurt your feelings in the other thread when i said a person trying to gain weight but complaing that its inconvient to eat more is like a fat person saying hes not bothered to diet?
I agree im still learning new things everyday. Again what out of my posts did you disagree with or find pretentious? And i can look over it and see if i agree and made a mistake. But if you agree that what i said i was correct then cool. Either way i don't really mind.
Oh you disagree with the way i said it not the actual content. Thats cool and yeah i do see how i came across as rude.
Bottom Line, Boxing you have to want it. Boxing is a Cruel Mistress, it can Break your Heart. Boxing is Dangerous, you can Die, get Brain Damage, it can at Times ask of all you are. But like Thousands, you will Find yourself Intellectually, Spiritually. It will give you a work ethic, and like most Ive met Responsibility. Plus its ****ing Fun
Wise words mate.:thumbsup In a general sense.I think it takes a lot to come on and ask for help at the risk of being slaughtered,so I always prefer to see people giving advice, rather than abuse.
