Anyone have a double end bag mounted inside their home? What's the best way to mount it? Some kind of bracket on the ceiling, and then a sand filled anchor on the floor? Any recommendations as to what brand to use?

I think i can find a stud in the ceiling. there is some kind of header that protrudes from the ceiling and I'm assuming it has to be because there is solid wood there.

Wall mounted seems like a worse idea because it would require more secure mounting to the wall and it might be harder to find studs to screw into that are spaced appropriately.

In an apartment? Your neighbors are going to hate you.

  3. you can get stands for the floor to ceiling. no they don't make that much noise. they would probably think you're having fun with the missus more than anything

Do you have a link to a a picture of what you are talking about? When you say stand I think of something that doesn't have to be screwed in or installed anywhere. Am I wrong about that?
