His wrestling looks improved alot... I know its a working progress but coming from someone who never trained wrestling before, I'm impressed. He's only 26 and one of the best strikers in the LHW Division. Him and Shogun are on my bucket list for fights.
We'll see how he does when he steps back up in competition, it would be nice to see him in UFC of course, but he couldn't even beat the dean of mean so he still has work to do.
looked better but compared to the hype he got he still doesn't look the part. As someone pointed out in his interview you can see he knows he needs to improve.
Mousasi says he was sick going into the fight. Might have hurt his cardio. He definitely flagged late in the third. OSP is a physical specimen though.
I was happy that he has actually been working on his only visible achilles heel... That kimora scramble looked awfully similar to something...hmmmm cant pin point it..
His Cardio has always been a problem though. looks to be happy having a rest on his back in most fights I've seen him.
Probably my second favorite fighter after Jones. I feel like he was out to prove a point about his wrestling in this fight, and that kind of hurt his performance. Even still, he did great against a pretty good up and comer, and proved once again that he has a very diverse game.
That's because he is dangerous off his back, constantly threatening with submissions and strikes. I have never seen him dominated on his back.
I thought he should have been given a 10-8 first round for total domination. None of the judges thought so. What do you guys think ?
Yea he toally dominated the 1st round showing just how dangerous he is when you attempt to strike with him.
No, but it doesn't matter, most thought he should walk through Jardine, Jardine was coming off 5 staight losses. He still could of won the fight but he had the point taken away so realistically he got the better of him.
