During the build ups to their fights, Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson both talked the same way they fought. :deal Ali was full of rhythm, rhyme, and finesse.. "It's hard to be humble, when you're as great as I am." "Float like a butterfly, stink like a bee" Tyson was all crude brutality. My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious. I want your heart. I want to eat his children. Praise be to Allah!" Who wins a war of words?
Tex Cobb KO1 Tyson and Ali. But out of those, then Ali. Tyson was unintentionally funny, although he seemed to be as real as it gets.
Ali wins this one. Since the main objective of a war of words is to get to the other guy's head, I believe Ali can get to Mike's head easily and faster.
Some of Tyson's **** was so shockingly ugly that it had its own beauty lol... like this gem: “[He] called me a ‘******’ and a ‘recluse.’ I’m not a recluse.”
Ali's trashtalking usually made fighters fight better. It's the main reason Frazier had the fights of his life against Ali, he pissed him off. Ali said something along the lines of why does everyone fight so good against me? Hmm, I wonder why
100% Ali's talk was so funny it was classy and not trashy. No one has come remotely close IMO. Tyson had his moments though.
Neither of these two are touching Money in the trash talking department. BUT, if I had to pick between these two then Tyson was head and shoulders above Ali.
There was nothing "crude" about Tyson in the ring, he was very textbook, as far as talking **** goes Ali is the GOAT. Although RJJ could talk **** with the best of em when he wanted to.
This isnt really the question- the question is- who was more intimidating, Ali with his mouth or Tyson with his presence. they both used intimidation well. but tyson didnt really rely on his wit and words, if anything- he said less before a fight then after.
