Honestly, I can't remember since I got it after having a tooth knocked out of place (from using a cheap mouthguard), and the mold and mouthguard were included with all the other costs of fixing my tooth. Came out to like $1000 :scaredas:

oh my. it would have been nice to have your new mouthguard back then, eh?

what kind of procedures did you have performed on your tooth to repair it?

i got my upper front left tooth knocked really loose when i was using my brainpad mouthguard.

it costed over $800 to get a root canal, dental crown, and an appendectomy open gums surgery to remove an infection.

After your experiences would you go with this everlast brain pad? Or would you continue using custom mouthguards that mold to the top teeth? My understanding is that the everlast brain pad will be safer but it could cut down the amount of air intake. As well, not being able to fully recouperate due to lack of air could also cause you to take more hits.

I was using a brainpad too! I actually really liked that mouthguard cause I can't breathe through my nose well so it let me breathe through my mouth while still keeping my teeth clenched.

I was tired so my mouth was open and since it wasn't a custom one it fell down off my teeth a bit and I got hit with an uppercut. That knocked the tooth back like half a centimeter.

The day it happened I had to go to an emergency dentist clinic since it was a sunday. They moved it back in place and glued a metal wire to it to hold it in place. Thought that was gonna be the end of it, but then the tooth started darkening a couple days later which meant the root was damaged so I needed to get a root canal. Then I had to get some bleaching done to it cause half my tooth was grey.

Had a custom one since then and I'll never go back to boil and bite. Protection is so much better and it's more comfortable.

paid $80 for dentist custom. dentist is a cool guy tho and follows mma and boxing so think he made it for cost. when you first get it, if you've used anything else before, it feels paper thin and of little protection. but after a short while you'll wonder how you ever managed with them giant ass boil n bites before.

Started with a crappy boil & bite from Everlast. $5.00

But, as luck would have it, my sparring partner is a Dentist! Have not been to the gym in a while, but last time I was there he was molding everyone's mouths for mouth pieces...free!

    Woohoo!

I've used this mouthguard, it sucks ass. It doesn't mold to your teeth, it feels clunky, and you can't breath with it in
