So it's normal to get the choking thing in cardio as well the first few times?

I've had them so they fit perfect on the front teeth, but they always seem to fall out in the back of my mouth. regardless. custom kit came today, so we'll see if it makes a difference to me.

Hi, I have bought OPRO Platinum mouthguard just recently and this is best I have ever tried! It is UK brand, advise you to try it!

get one from your dentist, ive had mine for about 4 years and it still fits perfectly. never made me gag or anything either, its light as hell and not one of those huge bulky ones. i think it cost about $100 but for the time it will last its worth it

Beyond normal. It is instinctual reflex. Your mouthpiece is touching on all types of nerves on the back of your throat and tongue. When your body starts gulping for air it doesn't want anything foreign in the way. If you haven't conditioned your mind to not register the mouthpiece as foreign? Gag! By the way, same thing goes for your equipment. Train as close as economically feasible to combat.

Keep in mind though, you may have an improperly sized mouthpiece too. Since you have a custom, do the training with it in and you will notice a huge difference within a month or two.
