This happened last night on the Lemieux vs N'Dam fight where N'Dam avoided another inevitable knock down by wrestling Lemiuex to the canvas:

In the Wilder vs Stiverne fight Stiverne also used the same move while he was under immense pressure:

Neither move is penalized by the refs. If they continue to allow this move, we will see it very often in boxing since it's a great way to avoid a knock down and take a breather against an opponent going for the KO.

Refs become a joke allowing all types of illegal tactics in boxing such as excessive clinching etc but this is just too far. Why would anyone go down when they can wrestle their opponents to the floor without consequences?

2 fights out of how many is an aberration. A knockdown should have been awarded in both.

I don't think it should've been a knockdown in Wilder-Stiverne. The punch that put Stiverne down landed after the bell.

WOW, N'Dam executed a beautiful single leg takedown... too bad it has no place in boxing. Refs are WAY too lenient about holding, running, pushing and elbowing.

WHile holding is viewed as a non-threating foul, it KILLS the spirit of boxing and should be warned after the second hold, then penalized from then on. What Broner did last night for example, was not boxing and was terrible to watch. N'Dam should have been deducted a point there.
